A mind map is a visual diagram that radiates ideas from a central concept. Invented by Tony Buzan in the 1970s, mind mapping leverages the brain's natural associative thinking β connecting ideas with branches the way neurons connect in the brain.
Mind maps are used for brainstorming, project planning, studying, note-taking, decision-making, creative writing, and much more. Research shows that visual diagrams improve memory retention and creative thinking significantly over linear notes.
WebNotePad's mind map tool runs entirely in your browser with no software to install. Your maps are auto-saved locally, and you can export them as PNG images or JSON files for backup and sharing.
