Three Difficulty Levels

First-Click Safety
Your first click is guaranteed never to be a mine and always opens a safe area. Mines are only placed after your first move, so you can start confidently.
Flag Mode for Mobile
Mobile devices don't have right-click. Tap the Flag Mode button to toggle between reveal and flag actions with a single thumb.
Chord Clicking
Once you've placed the right number of flags around a numbered square, click that square to reveal all its remaining hidden neighbours at once. Fast and satisfying.
Flood-Fill Reveal
Reveal an empty square and every adjacent safe square opens automatically, cascading through blank regions of the board in a single satisfying wave.
Timer & Best Times
The timer starts on your first click and stops the instant you win. Best times are stored per difficulty in your browser so you always have a target to beat.

The rules are simple: reveal all the safe squares on a rectangular grid without detonating a mine. Numbers that appear when you uncover a square tell you how many of the eight surrounding squares contain a mine.
