A web teleprompter is a browser-based tool that scrolls your script automatically while you read it, so you can look directly at the camera without memorising your lines. It works on any device with a modern browser — no software to install.
Yes. The WebNotePad teleprompter is completely free. There is no signup, no watermark, and no limit on script length or how many times you use it.
Use the Scroll Speed slider in the settings panel, or press the Up and Down arrow keys while the prompter is running. The + Speed and − Speed buttons in the control bar and the floating HUD in fullscreen mode also adjust speed instantly.
Space toggles play and pause. Arrow Up and Arrow Down change the scroll speed. R resets the scroll position to the top. F enters or exits fullscreen mode. M toggles mirror mode. G toggles the reading guide line. + and − adjust the font size. Esc exits fullscreen.
Mirror mode flips the script horizontally so it appears correctly when reflected in a beam-splitter teleprompter rig. If you are using a physical teleprompter with a glass panel and a camera behind it, enable mirror mode so the text reads correctly through the glass.
